Meeting host: Lana Scott
First hour: Our meeting host will present news, updates, announcements. and member introductions. There will be time for networking.
Please thank our Mpros volunteers and recent 5-day workshop graduates for this morning's refreshments. Remember, $1 in the cup is all we ask to support our weekly meetings. Second hour: Stephen Weiss
I usually only do this as a Specialized Workshop, but this Monday by popular demand, for only the 2nd time since 2014, the 2nd Hour presentation will be:
TOPIC: "BIOs EXPLAINED: It's about who you are, not just what you do"
SUMMARY:
A resume tells people what you do and where you've done it. A bio is something very different, both in content and tone. A bio is an intriguing and potentially compelling way to answer the question, "Tell me about yourself." Done well, it can open the door to an interview, and even be a tie-breaker among applicants.
This detailed and lively presentation explains what bios are, what they aren't, what they're for and how to write one. Several different kinds of bios are covered and the uses of each. Sample bios and worksheets to help members develop their own bio will be available.
Location - Northgate Mall Community Room, 5800 Northgate Drive, San Rafael CA 94903
